Carlos A. Lobbosco


New York, N.Y., February 1, 2002 --- Carlos A. Lobbosco, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Officer of the Board of Directors, will retire from International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (“IFF” or “the Company”) effective May 7, 2002, the day of the Annual Shareholder's Meeting. Mr. Lobbosco joined the Company in 1975 and has held a range of senior management positions, serving as President of the worldwide Fragrances division just prior to assuming his current role.

Goldstein, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IFF. “Carlos's natural talent, unparalleled understanding of our customers and our business, and contagious good humor make him truly unique at IFF.”

Mr. Lobbosco's position will not be filled upon his retirement. Roberto Gordon, Neil Humphreys and Nicolas Mirzayantz -- Global Vice Presidents for Functional Products, Flavors and Fine Fragrances and Toiletries, respectively -- will report directly to Mr. Goldstein.
